Forming Bima Arya’s Image Through Instagrams In Student Perspective

Abstract


The use of Instagram for officials is considered to have "closeness" to the community. Communication exists in a "free" manner that seems to unleash the boundaries that "separate" between officials and society. Thus, the image of officials can be formed based on communication between them through Instagram. The purpose of this study is to find out the image of Bima Arya through Instagram in the perspective of students. This research uses correlational quantitative method. The population in this study were students who studied in the Bogor City, the determination of the sample using incidental sampling technique. The results of the study were the characteristics of respondents who were dominated by women, they generally came from universities with B accreditation, GPA 4, and took social concentration. Students' perception of Bima Arya instagram generally answers agree from three indicators, namely attention, appreciation, duration, and frequency. There is no relationship between the characteristics of students and the perception of the Bima Arya instagram, but there is a real and significant relationship between indicators of access intensity and perception of the Bima Arya instagram. This proves that, the image owned by Bima Arya, one of which is formed from socialization in social media instagram.
