STUDI KOMPREHENSIF MENGENAI DAMPAK DARI AKSELERASI HALAMAN SELULER (AMP) DAN APLIKASI WEB PROGRESIF (PWA) COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF ACCELERATED MOBILE PAGE (AMP) AND PROGRESSIVE WEB APPS (PWA)
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penggunaan teknologi AMP dan PWA semakin meningkat, namun dalam laporan Emergent Research, hanya sekitar 20% dari 100% responden yang sudah atau berencana untuk mengimplementasikan salah satu dari kedua teknologi tersebut pada website yang akan dikembangkan. Hal ini menunjukkan masih tingginya keraguan para pengembang dalam menerapkan teknologi tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji secara mendalam kinerja AMP dan PWA, dengan harapan dapat memberikan pandangan yang netral terhadap kedua teknologi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menganalisis data sekunder tentang dampak PWA dan AMP secara menyeluruh, termasuk pengalaman pengguna, kecepatan memuat, kemampuan akses offline, biaya pengembangan, dukungan perangkat, keamanan, distribusi, penggunaan sumber daya, pemeliharaan dan pembaruan, fungsi-fitur, dan kepuasan pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua teknologi efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan pengalaman pengguna, dengan peningkatan performa berkisar 26%-94% dibandingkan dengan web aplikasi tanpa kedua teknologi tersebut. AMP dan PWA memiliki karakteristik dan keunggulan yang berbeda, sehingga dapat digunakan bersamaan untuk memperkaya aplikasi web. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua terknologi tersebut tidak saling bertentangan, melainkan dapat saling melengkapi.

ABSTRACT
The utilization of AMP and PWA technologies is increasing; however, only approximately 20% of the 100% of respondents who have already implemented or plan to implement one of these technologies on their upcoming websites, as indicated in the Emergent Research report. This shows that there is still considerable uncertainty among developers when it comes to adopting these technologies. The objective of this research is to conduct a comprehensive of the performance of AMP and PWA technologies, with the hope of providing an impartial perspective on both technologies. This study employs a methodology that combines literature review and ethnographic analysis to comprehensively assess the impact of PWA and AMP, including user experience, loading speed, offline access capabilities, development costs, device support, security, distribution, resource utilization, maintenance and updates, feature functionalities, and user satisfaction. The research results show that both technologies are effective in improving performance and user experience, with performance increases ranging from 26% -94% compared to web applications without these two technologies. An intriguing finding is that AMP and PWA can be used simultaneously in one application, which shows that these two technologies are not mutually exclusive but rather complementary.
