HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN TENTANG FUNGSI TAMAN NASIONAL DAN STATUS SOSIAL EKONOMI DENGAN PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM KONSERVASI TAMAN NASIONAL GUNUNG GEDE PANGRANGO

ABSTRACT

Objective of  research is  to find out the knowledge of function of the national park and state of

social economy, to the community participation of   Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park. conservation Survey research was carried out in Cianjur village, West Javawith taken sample about

233 respondens. This research has three conclusions as follow1. There is a very significant positive relationship between the knowledge of the function of national park with the participation of people in conservation of Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park by the regression equation Ŷ = 140.606

+ 0.632 X1, with the correlation coefficient value of   ry1  =0.528    and the determination of the coefficient (r2) = 0.279, There is a very significant positive correlation between the social economy status with the participation of people in conservation of Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park by the regression equation Ŷ = 54.487 + 0.654X2 and correlation coefficient ry2 = 0.542 and than the coefficient determination   (r2) was equal to   0.294, there is a very significant relationship between the knowledge of function of national park and the social economy status together with the participation  of    people  in  conservation  of  Gunung  Gede  Pangrango  National  Park  by  the regression equation Ŷ = 84.737 + 0.260 X1 +0.420 X2, with the value of the coefficients correlation of ry12 = 0.551 and the determination of the coefficient (r2) = 0.303 Based on these results, it could be  concludes  that  the  community  participation  of  conservation  of  Gunung  Gede  Pangrango National Park could be improved through increase knowledge of function national park and social

economy states.
