Analysis of the Communication Strategy of the Bunga Harapan Youth Information and Counseling Center in Implementing the Marital Age Maturity Program

Abstract


The Maturation of Marriage Age (PUP) program is an effort that has long been launched by BKKBN since 2010, but only at the beginning of 2019 there were many campaign activities on television advertisements regarding the PUP program through the Generasi Berencana (GenRe) program, which aims to provide understanding and awareness to adolescents about marriage in order to plan a family. The importance of PUP is based on several considerations that must be considered by adolescents who will enter the gates of marriage and households, this research is qualitative research taken because the researcher feels the need for an approach that can conduct a comprehensive study (holistic) of the emergence of a problem in the phenomenon that occurs. The data sources for this research are primary data sources and secondary data sources. There are four sources interviewed in this study, the analysis method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the communication strategies carried out by PIK-R Bunga Harapan Bogor include direct strategies or face-to-face activities, using Instagram social media to disseminate information about PUP and activities carried out by PIK-R Bunga Harapan Bogor, then collaborating with radio and mass media in Bogor City and the availability of the Polink Gaul application to conduct online counseling. The obstacles faced in implementing PUP are the lack of human resources who have the ability to convey information and the main obstacles are obstacles that come from counseling adolescents who have low awareness of the importance of delaying the age of marriage in adolescence.
