PENERAPAN THINK PAIR SHARE DENGAN TEKNIK MIND MAP DALAM MANAJEMEN PEMBELAJARAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The aim of this research is to increase students’ descriptive text writing skill by using cooperatif learning type think pair share with mind map technique. This research is conducted at class X TKJ 1 SMK Amaliah 1 Ciawi in Academic Year 2015-2016.The reseach is done by two cycles, each cycles consist of two actions. The deficiencies of the first cycle is reflected and improved in the second cycle. The goals’ criteria are achieved in the second cycle, it means that the learning management by using think pair share with mind map technique has been succeeded, so the research is stopped.Learning management by using think pair share with mind map technique is proved to increase students’ enthusiasm. Based on the result of the research, students’ enthusiasm in the first cycle, in the first meeting and the second meeting, the on task activity is 92,9% dan 93,7%, while in the second cycle at the first meeting, students’ on task activity is 95,2% and 97,6% at the seond meeting. The mean of students’ enthusiasm in the first cycle is 93,3% increases to 96,4% in the second cycle.The students’ descriptive text writing skill, the mean of its score is 72. It means that 64% of students get score as same as or more than KKM which is stated 75. The mean of students’ descriptive text writing skill in the second cycle is 84, it means that 82% of students have got score ≥75. Based on the results of the classroom cation research, it can be concluded that the result of the research shows the learning management by using cooperatif learning type think pair share with mind map technique is proved increasing descriptive text writing skill of first grade of TKJ 1 of students’ SMK Amaliah 1 Ciawi.

ABSTRAK 

Tujuan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks deskriptif siswa dengan menggunakan tipe pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share dengan teknik mind map. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas X TKJ 1 SMK Amaliah 1 Ciawi pada Tahun Akademik 2015-2016. Penelitian dilakukan dengan dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua tindakan. Kekurangan siklus pertama tercermin dan membaik pada siklus kedua. Kriteria sasaran dicapai pada siklus kedua, artinya manajemen pembelajaran dengan menggunakan think pair share dengan teknik mind map telah berhasil, sehingga penelitian dihentikan. Manajemen pembelajaran dengan menggunakan think pair share dengan teknik mind map terbukti meningkatkan antusiasme siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, antusiasme siswa pada siklus I, pada pertemuan pertama dan pertemuan kedua, aktivitas tugas adalah 92,9% dan 93,7%, sedangkan pada siklus II pada pertemuan pertama, Kegiatan tugas siswa adalah 95,2% dan 97,6% pada pertemuan seond. Rata-rata antusiasme siswa pada siklus I adalah 93,3% meningkat menjadi 96,4% pada siklus kedua. Kemampuan menulis teks deskriptif siswa, rata-rata skornya adalah 72. Artinya, 64% siswa mendapatkan skor sama atau lebih dari KKM yang dinyatakan 75. Rata-rata keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif siswa pada siklus II adalah 84, artinya 82% siswa mendapat nilai ≥75. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kation kelas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share dengan teknik mind map terbukti meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks deskriptif kelas 1 TKJ 1 dari siswa SMK Amaliah 1 Ciawi.
