Community Empowerment in the Utilization of Buffalo Livestock Waste for Biogas Production Raw Materials with Fix Dome Type in Kalongliud Village, Nanggung District, Bogor Regency
Abstract
Kalongliud is one of the villages located in Nanggung sub-district with the majority of the community profession as breeders. Daily activities in raising livestock produce buffalo waste that is not managed so that it harms the environment and comfort in daily activities. One solution to this problem is to process the sewage into biogas which can be used as an alternative energy source to replace gas energy and can improve the community's economy through the biogas by-product. The method used in empowering the Kalongliud village community is through lectures and the practice of making biodigester. Providing information regarding explanations, benefits, and stages in the biodigester are used as a way of implementing the lecture method. Meanwhile, the manufacture of the biodigester is carried out together with the community with the direction of partners. The stages of the implementation method are socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The result of this activity is the construction of a biogas installation with the main product being an alternative fuel energy source that can be used by the community in their daily lives. In addition, by-products are produced in the form of solid and liquid fertilizers that can be used directly by the community for farming, as well as for resale to improve the community's economy.
