INTERVAL: The Scientific Journal of Mathematics is a scientific journal in the field of mathematics and its applications which is published twice a year, in March and September, by the Institute for Research and Community Service at Pakuan University, as a means to accommodate research writings for researchers, lecturers, and students of all strata. Publication Frequency

Interval: Jurnal Ilmiah Matematika diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan Maret dan September.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Publication Ethics

Interval: Journal of Scientific Mathematics is one of the journals managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service at Pakuan University which was first published in 2020. Interval: Journal of Scientific Mathematics is a scientific journal that is published online and publishes articles or scientific works of research results in the field of Mathematics, covering a wide range of written topics in the field of knowledge:

1. Pure math
2. Mathematical modeling
3. Operations Research
4. Optimization
5. Finance and actuarial mathematics
6. Statistics
7. Optimum Control

This statement of the scientific code of ethics is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. The statement of the code of ethics for scientific publications is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which essentially upholds three ethical values in publication, namely:

1. Neutrality, ie free from conflict of interest in the management of publications;
2. Justice, namely granting authorship rights to those entitled to become authors; and
3. Honesty, free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications. 

Publisher Responsibilities

1. Interval Publisher: The Mathematical Scientific Journal is responsible for publishing manuscripts that after going through the editing, reviewing, and layout processes are in accordance with the scientific journal publishing rules.
2. Interval Publisher: Jurnal Ilmiah Mathematics is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and Mitrabestari in carrying out their respective duties.
3. Publisher Interval: Jurnal Ilmiah Mathematics is responsible for maintaining the privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom. 

Editor's Responsibilities

1. Interval Editor: Jurnal Ilmiah Mathematics is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are worthy of publication through the editorial board meeting which refers to the applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
2. In reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editorial team of Interval: Jurnal Ilmiah Mathematics is based on the principle of equality of treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts without distinction of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.
3. Editors and editorial team of Interval: Jurnal Ilmiah Mathematics will not disclose any information about manuscripts or manuscripts submitted except with the permission of the author.
4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by the research editor of Interval: Journal of Scientific Mathematics for their own benefit and will be returned directly to the author.

Bestari Partner Responsibilities

Interval bestari partner: Jurnal Ilmiah Mathematics helps editors in making editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts

1. Interval review partners: The Scientific Journal of Mathematics is responsible for the recommendations of the manuscripts it is reviewing.
2. The review of the manuscript is carried out objectively and is supported by clear arguments.
3. Interval review partners: Jurnal Ilmiah Mathematics is responsible for citations, references, duplications, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism of the manuscripts it has reviewed.
4. Interval review partners: The Scientific Journal of Mathematics must always maintain the confidentiality of the information and not use information from the manuscripts it has reviewed for personal gain/interest.

Author's Responsibilities

1. The author must present the manuscript of his thoughts or research clearly, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification or plagiarism.
2. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted on the manuscript that has been written.
3. The author must show references to the opinions and works of others who are quoted
4. The author must write the manuscript ethically, honestly, and responsibly, in accordance with the applicable scientific writing regulations.
5. The author does not mind if the manuscript is edited in the review process and layout without changing the substance or main idea of the article.

Proses Peer Review

The articles published in Interval: Jurnal Ilmiah Mathematics have gone through a substance review process by at least 2 reviewers in a double-blind peer review. Pre-review of the article will be carried out to see the suitability of the page format, images, tables, citations and reference lists as well as the systematic review of articles. Checking for plagiarism is done through a search on Google Scholar and PlagScan.

Reviewers can request a re-review after the author has revised the article. The decision to accept the article is the authority of the Chief Editor based on the reviewers' recommendations.
