PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR BERBASIS SOCIO-SCIENTIFIC ISSUES PADA MATERI BIOTEKNOLOGI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN LITERASI SAINS SISWA

Abstract


Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar berbasis Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) pada materi bioteknologi yang dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D dengan desain ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate). Penelitian dilaksanakan di MTs Negeri 5 Cianjur pada siswa kelas IX. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar validasi, lembar observasi, kuesioner, dan tes literasi sains. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil validasi terhadap aspek materi dan aspek kegrafisan oleh dosen ahli diperoleh hasil persentase rata-rata 100% dan validasi dari guru IPA dengan CVR dan CVI menunjukkan nilai rata-rata CVI 0,94 untuk aspek materi dan 0,98 untuk aspek kegrafisan, hal ini menunjukkan bahan ajar IPA berbasis SSI memiliki kriteria valid dan sangat sesuai untuk digunakan baik berdasar dosen ahli maupun guru IPA. Hasil respon guru dan siswa menunjukkan persentase rata-rata 85,31% dan 85,67, artinya baik guru dan siswa sangat setuju untuk menggunakan bahan ajar dalam proses pembelajaran bioteknologi kelas IX SMP/MTs. Hasil N-Gain tes literasi sains sebesar 0,60 artinya bahwa bahan ajar SSI cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi sains pada siswa.
