Author Guidelines
WRITING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE JOURNAL OF PAKUAN LAW REVIEW
A. Introduction
- Pakuan Law Riview is a scientific journal in the field of law published twice a year (January-June and July-December) by the Unit (PALAR) PAKUAN LAW RIVIEW, Faculty of Law, Pakuan University.
- Pakuan Law Riview is a forum for academics and legal practitioners to disseminate legal knowledge to the wider community in a legal reference in the field of study in the Pakuan Law Riview journal covering various branches of law including Civil Law, Business Economics Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Law State Administration and International Law, Sharia Economic Law, and others.
- The manuscripts that have been received and ready to be published will be published in the Open Journal System (OJS) in stages. The Pakuan Law Riview Journal is currently in the process of preparing and submitting national accreditation applications.
- We welcome research articles or contemporary legal ideas. The articles submitted are original and have never been published anywhere.
B. Text Form
- Manuscripts received are manuscripts that have never been published before. If the manuscript is proven to have been published, then the legal risk is borne by the author and will get sanctions from the Pakuan Law Riview Journal.
- Manuscripts are written in Indonesian or English.
- Manuscripts can be the results of a research (research paper) or a review paper (thoughts) in the field of law.
- In the manuscript, the writing of foreign language terms is italicized.
- Writing paragraphs in the script uses 5 beats.
C. Submission Procedure
- The author sends the manuscript via journal.unpak.ac.id. The author can create an account as an author and submit articles online. Authors can also send in soft copy via email journal.unpak.ac.id or register online at the website https://journal.unpak.ac.id/index.php/palar/index.
- Authors who have sent the manuscript will receive a receipt of receipt of the manuscript. Note: Manuscripts received will not automatically be published, because they will go through a review process from the editorial board.
- The author attaches a STATEMENT OF AUTHENTICITY STATEMENT with a stamp of Rp.6,000.00 which can be downloaded on the https://journal.unpak.ac.id/index.php/palar/index page.
D. Manuscript Format
- Writing format uses a single column format. Manuscripts of each page are numbered sequentially, the number of pages 20-25 sheets (not including bibliography).
- Manuscripts are typed on A4 size paper (210 x 297 mm) with 1.5 lines spacing.
- The manuscript is typed in Times New Roman with the following conditions:
- Text title: 13 fonts, Capital, Bold.
- Author name: 12 fonts, bold.
- Abstract and keywords: 12 fonts, bold, abstract content does not need bold.
- Contents of the script: 12 fonts.
- footnote: 10 fonts, single space, Times New Roman, Justify.
- Bibliography: 13 fonts, the contents of the bibliography 12 fonts.
- Page numbering location: for page one placed under the middle, next in the upper right corner.
- Information about institution, address, email, telephone: 12 fonts.
- Title: A maximum of 12 words for the Indonesian script and 10 words for the English script.
- Author Name: Not abbreviated, without title, in bold.
- Full Address: The complete address of the agency where the author works, including zip code, telephone and fax numbers, and email address.
E. Abstract and Keywords:
- Abstracts are written in 2 languages, English or Indonesian, accompanied by 3-5 words of keywords. Writing the word "Key words" using a bold italic style font.
- The abstract must contain the objectives, methods, and research results and completely describe the essence of the entire content of the writing for the research paper, while for the review paper it does not use a method.
- Abstract consists of 150-250 words.
- Abstract is written in one space and in one paragraph.
F. Background:
- Writing bold headlines.
- Contains the background, problems and research methods for the research paper, while the review paper does not use methods.
- Deductive pattern (general-specific)
- G. Discussion: description of the problem
H. Conclusion: contains a brief answer to the problem
I. REFERENCES:
- Bibliography is written alphabetically.
- Using blogs is prohibited.
- Bibliography that uses E-books and hard books must have the names of the authors and publishers.
- Written using 1.5 spaces.
J. Bibliography is grouped as follows:
- Collection of Writings in Books
- Journal
- Papers
- Thesis / Thesis / Dissertation
- Laws and regulations
- Newspaper
- Internet Script
- Preferably using other primary materials / journals
- using the Chicago style system selingkung style.
- Every direct quotation in the text must be quoted as 2 (").
- Book
K. Journal of Feasibility Assessment
- Each manuscript that meets the standard writing format as determined by the Editing Board will be reviewed in substance by Bestari Partners in accordance with their field of expertise.
- The author is obliged to correct the manuscript according to the advice from the editorial board and the Bestari Partner's notes within 7 (seven) days, while the rejected manuscript will be returned to the author along with the reasons for rejection.
- Determination of whether the manuscript is appropriate or not is determined by the Pakuan Law Review Team through Mitra Bestari, which will then be submitted to the author.
L. Mitra Bebestari
- Bestari Partners are experts in the field of law who come from universities in Indonesia and / or from abroad, who have the competence to review texts according to their respective fields of knowledge.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
